Monthly Draw Rules.
These are proposed terms for the ongoing monthly draw. Eligibility, first draw dates, prize value and the organizer's legal details still need confirmation. This draft does not replace finalized rules.
Details to Confirm
- Organizer's legal name and mailing address.
- Eligible geographic area and age: proposed B.C. residents aged 19 or older.
- First entry period and first draw date.
- Exact monthly prize contents and approximate retail value in Canadian dollars.
- Draw timing and winner-response deadline: proposed fifth day of the following month, with seven days to respond.
- Skill-testing question and final winner-verification procedure.
Proposed Monthly Entry Period
Each period would run from 12:00 a.m. on the first day of the month to 11:59 p.m. on its last day, using America/Vancouver time, including daylight-saving changes. Eligible submissions would be assigned to the month received. The ongoing monthly schedule would continue until a clearly announced change.
Proposed Eligibility and Entry
No purchase necessary. Proposed eligibility is B.C. residents aged 19 or older, excluding the organizer, people administering the draw and their immediate households. Entrants would submit a photograph they took on a B.C. outing, a display name and a valid contact email through the photo form. One eligible entry per person per calendar month; additional photographs would not create extra chances. Newsletter consent would not be required.
Photograph Permission
Entrants would retain copyright and give permission for their approved photograph, display name, caption and optional broad location to appear in the Forageberry gallery. They must have any necessary permission from identifiable people shown. Gallery moderation and draw eligibility would be separate checks; publication would not establish species identification, edible status or legal harvesting permission.
Proposed Prize
One complete foraging package per month, including a sling, books, tools and wicker dryers. The exact products, quantity and approximate retail value remain to be confirmed and disclosed. This draft does not assign a made-up dollar value.
Proposed Selection and Odds
One potential winner would be selected at random from the eligible entries for that month. Odds would depend on the number of eligible entries received. Proposed draw timing is the fifth day of the following month; the first draw date remains to be confirmed.
Proposed Winner Verification
The organizer would contact the potential winner at the submitted email address. Proposed response time is seven calendar days. Before a prize is awarded, the potential winner would confirm eligibility and complete the finalized skill-testing and verification process. An alternate random selection would be made if the person could not be contacted, did not respond or was ineligible. Prize delivery and any substitution terms remain to be finalized.
