Blackberries on their canes — ingredient photo, not the finished crumble

Forageberry Original · Recipe Idea

Blackberry & Oat Crumble

A simple oven dessert for properly identified ripe blackberries—or shop-bought fruit. Lemon, oats and a little brown sugar keep the berries at the centre.

Original recipe concept. Not kitchen-tested; not a reader’s foraging account.

Share Your Find.

Submit a find story, a recipe, or both, with one to three photographs you took.

Please leave out exact coordinates and sensitive picking locations.

Use your own wording and photographs. Credit inspiration; do not paste another author’s story or recipe text without permission.

JPEG, PNG or WebP · Up to 5 MB each. Photos are resized and location metadata removed before upload. The first photo becomes the lead image.

Submissions are reviewed before publication. Your email is kept for contact about this submission and is not displayed publicly or added to the newsletter. Recipe submissions do not enter the photo contest.

How we handle your submission

Recipes begin with identification.

A recipe, a community photograph or a published story cannot confirm that a wild food is safe. Confirm the exact species and food part with a knowledgeable identifier, follow required preparation, and check access and harvest rules. Cooking does not make a poisonous species safe.
