Privacy Policy.
Updated October 9, 2026. This policy describes how the current Forageberry preview handles information submitted through its forms.
Contact
For access, correction, removal or privacy questions, email edwardkennedy99@hotmail.com. Tell us which submission or subscription your request concerns. We may need to verify that a request comes from the person concerned.
Newsletter
With your consent, we store your email address, signup and consent dates, subscription status and an unsubscribe token for newsletter administration. Newsletter signup is separate from photo and recipe submissions. You can unsubscribe using the link provided with newsletter messages, or contact us at the address above.
Photos, Recipes and Find Stories
We collect your display name, contact email, submitted text, photographs and any optional broad location or source information you provide. We use these to review and manage your submission, publish approved material and contact you about your submission or the monthly draw where applicable.
Approved photos can show your chosen name, caption and broad location. Approved reader submissions can show the other publication fields you supply. Your contact email is excluded from public gallery and reader-submission responses. Submitted material is held for moderation before publication. Do not include precise locations of sensitive patches, private contact information or identifying details you do not want published.
Storage and Access
Submission and subscription records are stored in the site's hosted storage. Owner-only moderation and export routes restrict access to non-public records. ChatGPT Sites hosting and its infrastructure providers process requests needed to operate the site. This policy does not claim that hosting logs or provider processing are confined to Canada.
Browser Storage and External Services
The sample Field Bag is saved in your browser's local storage. It does not place an order or collect payment information. Map tiles and official map layers may be requested from external providers, which receive the information normally associated with a web request. Links to suppliers and reference websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. No advertising analytics integration is currently configured in the site source; hosting providers may maintain operational and security logs or cookies.
Retention and Removal
The current application has no automatic expiry or deletion schedule for submission and subscription records. We retain them to operate the newsletter, moderation, published galleries and draw administration. You may request removal or correction through the contact above. Approved content can remain public until removed; withdrawing newsletter consent does not automatically remove a separate photo or reader submission.
Your Choices
Forms require the relevant publication permission or newsletter consent. You can browse the reference collection without submitting them. We do not sell submitted email addresses. Newsletter signup is optional and is not required to share a photo. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information.
